Bormio is a renowned Alpine town in Alta Valtellina, famous for its thermal baths, ski slopes and its fascinating historic center.

It is an Alpine pass in Swiss territory (2,330 meters above sea level) that connects the Val Poschiavo with the Val Engadina. In its vicinity is the White Lake with its two dams.
